We are proud to share that Matt Grasser, CTO at Digital Transformation Solutions, had the privilege of delivering the opening keynote at the NMLS Annual Conference, one of the most prominent gatherings of financial regulators and supervisors in the United States. In his address, Matt explored the critical intersection of technology and financial supervision, challenging attendees to think boldly about how digital transformation can modernize regulatory practices, improve outcomes for consumers, and strengthen the integrity of financial markets. Drawing on DTS's global work with financial authorities, the keynote highlighted the urgency of building supervisory capacity that keeps pace with a rapidly evolving financial landscape. Key themes from the keynote included: - The imperative for financial supervisors to move from exploration to action in adopting technology-driven solutions. - How peer learning and knowledge-sharing across jurisdictions can accelerate transformation and reduce the cost of innovation. - The role of leadership and institutional culture in enabling — or hindering — meaningful digital change within regulatory bodies. - Practical frameworks for balancing innovation with the accountability, transparency, and risk management that supervision demands. We are grateful to NMLS for the opportunity to contribute to this important conversation, and to the financial supervisors who show up every day committed to protecting consumers and maintaining trust in our financial system. — DTS Executive Team
