Teresa Oino, Assistant Manager, Policy and Strategy

Teresa Oino is one of the 12 members of the 2025 cohort of the Innovation Leaders Residency.

Teresa is the Assistant Manager for Policy and Strategy at the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Kenya, where she developed a robust complaints resolution system that has enhanced consumer protection and strengthened regulatory compliance in the insurance sector. Teresa conducted research on the role of data in financial inclusion as a graduate of the Fletcher School Leadership Program for Financial Inclusion. During her Residency, Teresa is employing geospatial analysis of insurance usage in Kenya. Teresa will leverage FinAccess Household Survey data to uncover valuable insights that can enhance supervisory frameworks and promote equitable insurance services.

Over the course of the Residency year, Innovation Leaders gain online support for the enhancement of their skills and competencies, and assistance in taking their projects to the next level, whether they are focusing on implementing the digital transformation of their business unit or on driving the development of a cutting-edge suptech application.
