Innovation Leaders Residency 2025
Karin Elago is one of the 12 members of the 2025 cohort of the Innovation Leaders Residency, where she is leveraging suptech to combat cyber crime within Namibia’s financial sector.
Karin has been a driving force behind the central bank’s digital transformation as the Deputy Director for On-site Examinations at the Bank of Namibia. Her leadership in developing EagleTech, the bank’s first suptech solution, and implementing AI-powered predictive models for credit risk analysis have earned the institution recognition with the Central Banking FinTech and RegTech Global Pioneer Award. During her Residency, Karin is exploring innovative solutions to enhance end-to-end cyber risk supervision, aiming to enable proactive threat responses and build a more resilient financial system.
Over the course of the Residency year, Innovation Leaders gain online support for the enhancement of their skills and competencies, and assistance in taking their projects to the next level, whether they are focusing on implementing the digital transformation of their business unit or on driving the development of a cutting-edge suptech application.
