This project was implemented through the 'Public-Private Secondments for SupTech Innovation' initiative between the Bank of Tanzania and DANA Indonesia.
The Public-Private Secondments for SupTech Innovation initiative pairs highly trained experts from the private sector with financial authorities around the world for short-term, remote and in-person secondments that accelerate the digital transformation of financial supervision, leading to a more efficient, safer and sounder global financial system.
The Bank of Tanzania (BOT) has initiated efforts to collect real-time, field-level data related to climate risk and environmental impacts, using platforms such as Kobo Toolbox. As part of a broader vision to build scalable data infrastructure, BOT aims to transform and aggregate granular climate-related data into structured formats that can support effective supervision, policymaking, and strategic planning.
