Governance and project management of procurement, development and implementation of suptech solution
The aim of the project is to develop, test, and implement a Digital Supervisory Solution (DSS) production-ready working prototype for BOU that leverages advanced technologies such as data analytics, automated data management, and NLP-powered text extraction. The DSS prototype aims to enhance BOU's supervisory capabilities by automating regulatory data collection, validation, and analysis, thereby improving operational efficiency, reducing manual workload, and enabling more effective risk-based supervision.
Objectives
The proposed key intermediate objectives of the project include:
1. Automate Regulatory Data Management: To design and implement a solution that automates the collection, validation, processing, and storage of regulatory data from supervised financial institutions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Enhance Supervisory Analytics: To integrate advanced analytics tools, including predictive and prescriptive models, into the DSS to provide deeper insights into financial trends, risks, and systemic vulnerabilities, supporting proactive supervision and decision-making.
3. Enhance Text Data Processing and Analysis Capabilities: To efficiently process and analyze large volumes of unstructured text data, such as reports, communications, and documents, using advanced NLP techniques to identify key information, trends, and risks relevant to financial supervision.
4. Support Risk-Based Supervision: To provide a comprehensive, real-time view of the financial landscape through interactive dashboards and reports, enabling BOU to prioritize supervisory efforts on high-risk areas and institutions.
5. Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: To develop a user-friendly interface and customizable tools that facilitate easy access to information, data sharing, and collaboration among various stakeholders, including internal teams and supervised entities.
6. Ensure Compliance and Data Security: To implement robust data governance and security measures that protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
7. Enable Iterative Development and Continuous Improvement: To adopt a lean, iterative development approach that allows for rapid prototyping, testing, and refinement of the DSS solution, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and continuously improving the system to meet evolving supervisory needs.
8. Document and Disseminate Learnings: To systematically document the
development process, key learnings, and best practices, and disseminate these findings through workshops, webinars, and conferences to support knowledge sharing and capacity building within the financial supervision community.
