SupTech Diagnostic and POC Development for Digital Supervision

A comprehensive, future-ready SupTech digital supervision blueprint.

SupTech Diagnostic and POC Development for Digital Supervision

We worked with the Bank of Namibia to conduct a comprehensive SupTech diagnostic and design a future-ready Digital Supervision Blueprint. This blueprint defines priority use cases, data and technology requirements, and a roadmap for adopting advanced supervisory tools to strengthen market oversight and financial integrity.

Extended Description (Full Project Page)

The Bank of Namibia engaged DTS to lay the foundation for a digital transformation of its supervisory functions. Our team delivered a structured, end-to-end process that included:
• Institutional diagnostic: A collaborative assessment of supervisory processes, data management practices, technology infrastructure, and organisational readiness for innovation.
• Use case identification: Mapping priority SupTech applications with the highest potential to enhance risk detection, data-driven decision-making, and supervisory efficiency.
• Data and technology architecture: Designing a future-proof blueprint for integrating new data sources, AI-driven analytics, and interoperable supervisory platforms.
• Implementation roadmap: Providing a sequenced plan that links strategy to action — including vendor models, capacity building needs, change management, and early prototyping opportunities.

The Digital Supervision Blueprint equips the Bank of Namibia with a clear vision and practical pathway to deploy SupTech tools effectively, reduce fragmentation across supervisory departments, and ensure long-term scalability of solutions. The blueprint positions the institution to lead in data-driven, technology-enabled supervision, aligning with emerging international best practices while tailoring solutions to the local market context.
